Engine Mount Installation Instructions
After years of design and testing we are finally proud to announce the release of this complete motor mount solution. This kit includes a complete replacement engine side mount, transmission mount , and preassembled factory dogbone mount - offering the best performing total mount solution out there.
The passenger mount and transmission mount will completely replace your old, tired, motor mounts. The weakest of the 3 engine mounts, the passenger side is fluid filled by Volkswagen/Audi to aid in creating a softer, cushier ride. The factory transmission mount is known to collapse after only 30k miles. By replacing these with our complete units you eliminate ever having to deal with those issues ever again.
The softness of the factory mounts is also a detriment to performance and overall longevity as the fluid within the mount can often cause premature failure. By eliminating this dampening with the installation of a full polyurethane mount you are allowing more of the power from your engine to be transferred to the wheels through a more reliable and durable mount.
Maximizing bushing area to minimize vibration where possible gives our mount the advantage of having the best ride characteristics possible from a urethane bushing mount.
The dogbone mount inserts utilize a new factory motor mount bracket to reduce cost while still offering the best performance possible.
Stage 1 with its 65a durometer bushings are geared towards the spirited enthusiast who wants better control over motor movement without the sacrifice of excessive vibrations. Its our recommendation for all 4cyl street cars.
Stage 2 with its 85a durometer bushings are more for the hardcore enthusiast who is more concerned with performance than cabin vibration great for spirited runs and track cars.
Each complete replacement mount comes with two bushings, one 304 stainless base plate, and one 6061 aluminum center bracket. Factory hardware can be re-used with no issues.
Fits all Mk4 4 cylinder vehicles (1.8T and 2.0) as well as TT Mk1, and New Beetle. Please specify Year / Make / Model / Engine for your vehicle.
